Quartier Latin

Quartier Latin

The Latin in the area's name probably derives from the fact that it has been the university quarter since the medieval times, when Latin was the language of instruction. The district's long association with learning began in about 1100, when a number of renowned scholars, including Pierre Abélard, began to leave and teach on Montagne Saint-Genevieve, independant of the established cathedral school of Notre-Dame. The Paris schools attracted students all over Europe and 'colleges' multiplied,…

Everything was great! The location, the apartment, the hospitality, from the minute we checked in, during the whole stay and until the check out when the hosts was so kind and allowed us to leave 4 hours later without charge.

ALFRED B. to rent this apartment

We stayed for 2 weeks in this comfortable flat. A couple and another adult. The flat is very close to the RER (5 minutes walking), has close shops for food, bread and pastries. It has a small elevator - which is very convenient for the suitcases - althought you have to climb just 1 floor to reach the flat. The building is very quiet but central in a very nice, aristocratic and safe area.
The flat has a very pleasant and "homey" feeling.
The toilet is separated from the shower - which is very convenient.
The shower has very good preasure and hot water all times.
The beds in both bedrooms are large, new and very good. The heating was excellent in freezing Jan 2017. We could have complete dark in both bedrooms which is great. The light for reading in bed were excellent.
There is a phone in the flat - althought in the ad is not mentioned.
The kitchen has all needed for a comfortable living, including a small dishwasher.
In conclusion - we had an excellent stay in this flat.

Emma to rent this apartment

The apartment had everything we needed for a family of 5 with 3 young children (8, 6 and 6). We prepared and ate half of our meals there, and found that the kitchen was well equipped for that. The kids loved the little elevator up to the second floor in the apartment building, and my husband and I appreciated the balcony where we could escape to with a glass of wine. We walked around the neighborhood, shopping at the local grocery stores. There was an RER station from where we could access the Metro 5 minutes walk away. We loved to walk home through the nearby Jardin du Luxembourg at dusk, and there is a great playground there.

The apartment is true to the photos, and very conveniently located to the Metro, Luxembourg Garden and Montparnasse. We had a wonderful two weeks and especially enjoyed a glass of wine after our kids went to sleep on the charming porch.

EILEEN to rent this apartment

We stayed 3 nights in this cute little pad and were very comfortable. The location is fantastic with everything in easy walking distance. The nearest metro station is port royal approx 2 blocks and the Luxembourg gardens are also easy walking distance. About 100 metres from the apartment is a patisserie that opens at 6.30 am and the croissants are beautiful. We were 2 couples and so all good with 2 double bedrooms with one bathroom and sep toilet - all very clean and great laundry facilities also. The balcony is tiny with room for 2 people and some plants (that we watered)- it makes a cute little spot for a glass of wine and people watching a busy little street below. Would highly recommend this gem.
