In the heart of the Marais, two steps away from the village this apartment enjoys an exceptional site. The population of the Marais is rather good smart good kind but relaxed, one says 'Middle-class bohêmes' or 'Bobo'. Multicultural, the Parisian living in the Marais appreciate foreigners and visitors, most of them speak English. To walk in the streets 24/7 is very pleasant and safe. You can walk to many sites on the right bank (St Antoine Street, Turenne St., Rosiers St., Rivoli St.) or on the left bank (Latin quarter, St Michel), and you will be really close to St Louis Island. It is also easy to walk to the Museum of the Louvre, the department stores like Samaritaine (and its large terrace from where you will admire the Seine and the city), and the BHV (Bazard of the Town hall).

This apartment is located on the 5th floor of a good standard building. The windows are double glazed and overlook Petit Musc Street on one side and Beautrellis Street on the other side. The apartment is bright and very calm.

This lovely 45sqm apartment has two separare bedrooms, a living-room and the kitchen is open on the living-room. It has three levels. The entrance gives on a hallway with a closet and the toilets. You will then have to use the stairs to reach the second level downstairs. You will arrive in the living-room. It features a coffee table, a couch, an armchair and a flat TV screen. The first bedroom is reachable from the living-room. It is not that spacious but rather functional. It has a single bed (90x200), a storage furniture with drawers and a desk. The bedroom has a sliding door so there is no loss of space. From the living-room you will access the third downstairs level. The second bedroom is right in front of the stairs. It is more spacious than the other one and has two single beds (90x200) that can be put next to each other to form a double bed. You will also find storage space and a desk. This bedroom is very bright and quiet as well. The bathroom is next to this bedroom. It features a walk-in shower. The kitchen is open on the living-room. Its high chairs will enable you to fully use the bar. To conclude, this apartment can accomodate up to three guests. It has been decorated with much taste, it is well taken care of, bright and very well located close to the Seine River, St Louis Island,…A perfect pied-a-terre for a couple, a small family or a group of friends.

For the last two decades the Marais area has been one of the hippest parts of the city, stuffed with fashionable hotels, boutiques and restaurants - in no small part due to its popularity with the gay community. It's also prime territoty for arts lovers, thanks to all the museums and famous art galleries found there. You will love this Parisian neighborhood for its tightly knit street, its history and beauty. Some Background on the Marais District The Knights Templar…

Reviews - Rent Apartment Paris (75004) 2 bedrooms 45m² - Marais

NORMAN D. to rent this apartment

Despite getting off to a rocky start (late flight, RER B line closed), we managed to arrive after some problems. The owner was not helpful. We received no instructions as to how to get to the apartment, and had to sort it out on our own.. We finally managed to contact him, and he offered to pay for our taxi, but did not do this when we arrived. He showed us how to get in to the building, a brief tour, and then left. I understand that he was frustrated with us being late, but it was beyond our control.

The apartment was a good set-up for my daughter and I to visit Paris. It is a 3 minute walk to the Sully Morland metro stop, and a bit further to Bastille, making it easy to get around to see the sights. There are a couple of grocery stores close by, and plenty of cafes etc. There are lots of interesting things to see right in the area.

The apartment was basically ok, but could use a good cleaning/coat of paint. A few little decorating touches, and removal of odd bits of furniture would make it a more pleasant space. The TV should be moved out of the small bedroom. I did not appreciate having to strip the beds at the end of our stay. For the amount of money I paid, this should be included in the price. The linens and towels need to be updated. If you can ignore these issues, and need two bedrooms with some separation, it's a good basic accommodation.
