The Hôtel de Ville has been housing the city's local administration since 1357. This historical building underwent many transformations. It was rebuilt in a neo renaissance style after the fires which destroyed the building and the city archives during the Commune de Paris in 1871. Today the largest municipal building of Europe is partially open to visitors. You can particularly admire the Salles des Fêtes, a replica of the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
