You will love this lively area, already beloved by its residents, where you will find many shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, venues, particularly in the nearby Oberkampf Street and just above on Sorbier Street. The lovely Belleville Parc is located only ten minutes away from the apartment. It is very popular with Parisian of this neighborhood and you will be astonished by the spectacular view of Paris it offers. The Pere Lachaise open air market and the Belleville market take place twice a week (both on Tuesdays and Fridays). These are very nice markets with fresh products : fruits, vegetables, cheese,..
The closest metro stations are Ménilmontant (line 2) and Père Lachaise (line 2 and 3). Line 3 is very convenient : Republique is 2 stops away, Arts et Métiers is 4 stops away and Opera is 8 stops away. Count 2 minutes per stop : hence you will be close to many different parts of the city !

Standing

This house is secured by an alarm system and a first door that can be locked. The windows of the ground floor give on a the lovely garden, planted with bamboos. You will have the feeling to be surrounded by plants ! Especially from the master bedroom as its windows give on the plants, you will feel like you are in the middle of a forest ! The house is quiet, it has two levels. All the windows are double glazed and the two skylights give more light to this place.

Layout

This house used to be a workshop. It has been transformed into a loft ten years ago and completely renewed four years ago (in 2008). It has two levels. The entrance from the street directly gives on the garden planted with bamboos and the terrace with a wooden floor, featuring a garden table with chairs. From the garden you will enter the main room. It is very charming with harmonious volumes that convey a nice feeling of space. It has been divided in several areas. So you will first enter the dining area. It features a dining table for six people. The fitted kitchen is open on the dining area. Then you will find the living-room area. It has an angle couch where one person can sleep (a part of that couch can be converted into a single bed 90x190). A wonderful and impressive library has been created, emphasizing the volumes of this room. You will be able access the books from the living area but also from the upper floor. A chimney has also been inserted in the block space. You will be able to work on the desk, hidden in an alcove whose sliding doors perfectly match the design of the kitchen space nearby. You will also be able to store your clothes in the storage spaces next to the desk. Thanks to the skylight and the windows all along the main room, this living area is bright, even if it is on the ground floor. The stairs lead to the upper level featuring two bedrooms. A footbridge leads to the master bedroom. It features a queen size bed (160x200), a desk and a storage space. This bedroom overlook the garden. You will have this delicious feeling to live in the middle of the rain forest, far from the hubbub of the city and still close to it if you miss it ! On the other side of the footbridge you will find the second bedroom. It has a single bed (90x190) and a large piece of furniture to store your clothes. This room has a skylight and another opening on the wall to let the light in. The stairs separates the living area and the bathroom. It features a large walk-in shower and the toilets. The sliding doors of the bathroom will close the bathroom entrance if you need privacy but the sliding panels also close the cupboards of the central block and even the toilets on the other side. This house has been very well organized. It is very comfortable, decorated with much taste and care in a contemporary and minimalist spirit. The front of the house, all covered with wood, perfectly match the outside environment, the garden and its bamboos, offering an interesting contrast with the contemporary design of the interior, making this house a genuine jewel.
