Not to be missed is the fish shop Daguerre Marée, which is one of the best in Paris. Rennequin Street itself is very calm.

I stayed in the apartment on Rennequin during the last half of October of this year. I found it to be well located, spacious, and very quiet. It gave me the experience I was looking for which was to live in an apartment like a real Paris resident (un vrais parisienne). I felt extremely safe as there are two security doors plus a huge wood front door that takes a really complex looking key to open. Dislikes: the parquet floor crinkled under my feet which made me a little self conscious about making noise for my neighbor below. The toilet is in a little rectangular room next to the front door. The street itself is a little less than picturesque but you get used to it. William Schumann Los Angeles, CA USARead this comment on Typepad

stayed at the RENNEQUIN apt for 6 weeks April-June 2011. The apartment was very roomy, the couch/bed were extremely comfortable. This was my first trip to Paris in which I had spent more than a few days, I chose this rental because the building had a lift(my mom was planning on joining me but I ended up going alone) the elevator worked perfectly, though I usually tried to take the stairs to make up for all the fab food. The shower is amazing, and not having the toilet in the shower room would be an asset if the apt. was used by more than two people. The apt is actually homier than it appears in the photos, there is a table for 4 in front of the book shelves. I found the view quite nice, it was great to be up so high even if you were only looking at the street and the other apt buildings. There was a great breeze from opening the windows, I left the first week in June just when it was starting to get warm, there was a large portable fan in the apt, which I did use in the bedroom. There is a large wardrobe in the bedroom, but for more than two there really wouldn't be enough storage, there is also basically no storage in the bathroom. SInce I was alone, none of these things were an issue for me, and would probably be fine for a couple. I can't imagine using the couch(which opened into a futon), you would have to move the coffee table, and with the dining room table, I'm not sure where this would go. Again, want to state this is a great place for two, or a small family on a short stay. I was met at the airport by the driver, no problems there, the rep from Paris Address was at the apt. with the key to get me settled. I also booked a return taxi, and the service was flawless. My suggestions would be that a manual to operate the washing machine be provided in the apt. I never really learned how to use it, I just pressed buttons until it started. The listing states that there is a dryer in the apt. There is not one and the agency knows this, so unless one has been added that amenity is misleading. The kitchen could have used an actual coffee maker and some pans(there were like 5 pots) but in all fairness the company did offer to reimburse me for these things if I chose to purchase them. Lots of storage in the kitchen, lots of spices/oils. I think everyone must just end up leaving things adding to the inventory. The wifi in the apt worked great, I always planned my metro/bus directions before I ventured out for the day, which made it very easy. The building is very safe, with two codes to get in, the neighbors that I met were all friendly, thought I speak NO French. The owner stopped by and showed me how to attach my i-pad thru the stereo, very nice guy. The location was great, felt like I really lived in Paris, it was about a 10 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe, and 5 minutes to two different metro stations. Two grocery stores were minutes away. There is a sushi restaurant basically next door, the sushi was fresh, the staff spoke English and the food was very reasonable. In the 6 weeks I was there, I never had any problems with not speaking French, I found everyone to be helpful and kind....so the French are rude....not always true.Read this comment on Typepad
