Location
This short term apartment in Paris is located in the heart of the 7th district, just in front of the Hotel of the Invalides and the Dome. It is only a few minutes walk from the Eiffel tower or from the Grand Palais and a 15min walk from the Champs Elysées. This prestigious location is perfect for enjoying the quietness of this residential area, as well as the lively atmosphere of the close-by Rue St Dominique and the pedestrian Rue Clerc. The closest subway stations to this Paris apartment are La Tour Maubourg, Invalides and Ecole Militaire. Many bus lines are close-by as well, you will reach Opera or Champs Elysées in less than 10min (bus 28), and the bus 87, 92 and 82 will lead you to St Germain or Montparnasse in 15min.
Standing
Good standing residence built in the 60's. The building is secured by a digicode and an intercom. The Paris apartment is on the 2nd floor with a lift. The area is extra safe as the building faces a historical building (please note it is forbidden to take direct pictures from the balcony). Note that all the windows have been replaced in Feb 2012 to improve the sound and heat insulation.
Layout
This 42sqm ideally located Paris studio is very bright and spacious. The entrance leads to the main room, to the bathroom and to the kitchen. In the main room there are 2 sofabeds. The first one on the left hand side is a brand new, high quality sofabed suitable for a couple (140x200). The second on the right hand side consists of a single sofabed (80x200) plus another single bed (80x200) under it that can be pulled out. This sytem is called a 'Gigogne bed'. So 2 people could sleep on these 2 single beds next to each other. However the Paris rental apartment is suitable for 2 adults maximum, or 2 adults plus a child. The kitchen is fully equipped and a table enables 2 people to eat in this room. The bathroom has a bathtub and the toilet is in this bathroom. You will truely appreciate the balcony with its fantastic view on the Invalides. When the leaves fall at the end of the year you will be astonished by the view of the Dome, hidden behind the tree during the rest of the year. To conclude, this fairly priced, spacious studio to rent in Paris will be perfect for a couple, with or without a child, who want to stay close to the main tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, Grand Palais, Invalides etc.
Special note
Please note that the lift will be under renovation from May 3 to May 24. It will not be possible to use it during that time.

My stay at this wonderful little apartment was perfect. It is a very nice location..overlooking the Invalides with views of the dome. I was very comfortable..the bed was very good for sleeping, and all the amenities were there. I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying some time in Paris.Read this comment on Typepad
