Location
This apartment rental in Paris is right on the border of the 11th and 12th districts. The area is very lively as Bastille is 700m away and Place d'Aligre is only 5 minutes walk. It has an outdoor market, the Marché d'Aligre, which is open everyday except Monday. This market is well known by the Parisians and tourists usually love its atmosphere of authentic 'Parisian way of life'. You will find many shops around as well as supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.
The building is right in front of the Faidherbe Chaligny metro station and the Ledru-Rollin and Charonne stations are both 500m away.
Standing
This Paris flat is located on the 2nd floor of a building without a lift. The building itself has a beautiful courtyard filled with flowers. The windows of the apartment open on to the back side of the building, which is very quiet. The apartment faces south so it is always full of light.
Layout
Very comfortable and spacious, this 68sqm flat rental in Paris is suitable for two people, with two rooms within it. There is a bedroom which is accessible from the main room, and has a double bed (140x200) and an en suite dressing room which is very convenient for storing your clothes and luggage. The bedroom also has an en suite bathroom, which is equipped with a walk-in shower 'multi jet'.
Note that there are curtains on the windows between the bedroom and the dining area, which will enable you to sleep in the dark if you want.
The main room is divided into several areas. From the entrance hall firstly there is the living-area with a couch and two low armless easy chairs. If you travel with a young child it is possible for them to sleep on it. For those who have visited Normandy, you will recognize a part of the Bayeux tapestry above the sofa, a double of course!
You will also find a desk with a chair which will enable you to work should you need to (please note that there won't be any laptop available in the apartment).
Finally you will find the dining area with a dining table where four guests can comfortably sit. The fitted kitchen opens on to the dining area and has a kitchen counter with two high chairs, which is perfect for breakfast in your apartment!
This Paris rental apartment is suitable for two adults or two adults plus a child. It is always full of light which is a real pleasure if it is sunny outside.
The decoration is typically French with a wooden floor and wooden furniture, so you will feel very Parisian here!

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. Very handy to the Metro, shops, cafe's in a trendy area. This apartment is just outside of the "touristy" area - so it is a great place to feel as though you are living as a Parisian. Quiet, peaceful and sunny. We enjoyed being in the apartment as much as anything we did in Paris. It is spacious and comfortable. Well appointed. We felt at home. When we visit Paris again - we will definitely rent this apartment again. Only caution - there are 53 steps to the 3rd floor (U.S.) apartment.Read this comment on Typepad
