Location
This discreet and self-contained island is one of the most enchanting places to stay in Paris. It is delightfully unspoiled and has a mixture of handsome 17Ith century architecture, modern boutiques, narrow streets and magnificent views from its tree-lined quays. Running lengthwise along the island is the main street, Rue Saint Louis en l’Ile. It boasts a baroque church, refined boutiques, old-fashioned bistros and brassery , delicate chocolate and food shops, a florist, bakeries, a wonderful cheese shop and many pretty teahouses. The island has a village feel about it and after staying in it a day or two, you will be enamoured. Many of the most important attractive sites of Paris are located nearby. The Pompidou Centre , the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Garden, Champs Elysées, the Sainte Chapelle, the Latin Quarter, the Bastille and Le Marais are either within walking distance. Renting a Paris apartment on this island is something special.
Closest metro stops to this Paris flat rental are Cité, Pont Marie and St Michel.
Standing
Typical building of the Saint Louis Island of very good standing. The Paris apartment is on the third floor without an elevator, looking onto a charming courtyard. It is particularly calm and bright.
Layout
Apartment to rent in Paris of 35 m2 that has been recently renovated. It is a large studio with a bedroom (with 2 single beds that can be put together) open on the main room. A large table makes it possible for 4 people to dine and there is also a living room space with a sofa. The kitchen is entirely equipped and the bathroom has a shower. A pretty Paris apartment on a prettier island, you simply must stay here.

When a plumbing problem meant that my first choice (studio in Impasse Gueménée) wasn't available, I was offered a special rate on 9 Quai d'Anjou - also reflecting the fact that it wasn't quite ready for letting. It's in a great location, just a short walk from Sully-Morland metro station and less than 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame along the quaie of the Seine. (NB there isn't actually a view of the river from the apartment.) I joined a walking tour of Ile St Louis and the building housing the apartment was one of the buildings pointed out by the guide! It used to be the home of the caricaturist Honoré Daumier. I'd certainly recommend Parisaddress to my friends.Read this comment on Typepad

My daughter and I stayed at 9 Quai d'Anjou for 10 days. The studio while small was very clean and comfortable and the location was the best. Although the apartment overlooked the courtyard, stepping out of the great doors onto the narrow street bordered by the Seine was a wonderful feeling. The neighborhood was both residential and commercial, filled with small specialty shops and rich with Parisian culture. We loved our stay at Quai d'Anjou and would recommend it over a hotel stay.Read this comment on Typepad

Stayed at Quai d'Anjou for 2 weeks. Enjoyed this little apartment very much. It had all the necessary equipment and more. Wonderful location. You can walk everywhere, le Marais or the Latin Quarter. Small, but very clean and quiet. The location is wonderful, walking distance to many sights and nice neighborhoods. On the Island you'll find cheese, bread, and pastry shops, as well as at least one small supermarket, along with many other small shops. Make sure they wait outside for you on arrival, because you can't get into the building without a code, and will wait outside while the greeter waits inside, as happened with us. A nice, simple little apartment. Very well-located in a great old building. Does not have a DVD player or stereo and the TV is 90% in French, so non-French-speakers should bring their own entertainment for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. My wife and I recently stayed here on our first trip to France. This was our first stay in a rental apartment and we would highly recommend this over a hotel stay. The location is fantastic with easy access to everything. Fabien with Parisaddress took great care of us and provided us will all of the information that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment is very clean, quiet and cute! Situated along the Seine and on the beautiful Ile St. Louis, we found it to be the perfect place to stay during our first trip to Paris. The Batobus is not far from the apartment and is very inexpensive way to get to all the great sites along the Seine. Ile St. Louis has a lot of wonderful shops, bakeries and restraunts and Notre Dame is just a 10 minute walk! The apartment itself is up several flights of stairs, but we truly believe had we not had such a wonderful workout walking up and down those stairs we would have never made it up the 80 step stairs from the Catacombs of Paris! I'd certianly recommend Parisaddress to all my friends and plan to use them again for my next trip to Paris. :))Read this comment on Typepad

My husband and I recently stayed at 9 Quai d'Anjou for 8 days and we enjoyed our first stay in a rental apartment in Paris. The little apartment is clean and comfortable and the size is good for two. The location is amazing – safe, quiet, and with access to small specialty shops, cafés, metro as well as some great restaurants - all within a short walking distance on the charming Ile St Louis. The washer and dryer were much appreciated even though it took a quite a while to dry the clothes. The online booking with ParisAddress was easy and straightforward. The rental process was well-managed from the beginning of the transaction through email correspondences to leaving the apartment. Due to some miscommunication of our arrival time, we waited for about 30 minutes outside the apartment building but were greeted by a staff member within the next 10 minutes after we called the office. Our only suggestions would be to include an alarm clock and a wine bottle opener in the kitchen! Again overall, it was a pleasant experience in a nice apartment at an excellent location. For a week in November, a friend and I stayed at this lovely third French floor studio apartment facing a quiet courtyard on Ile St Louis. We were delighted with the comfort and simplicity of the clean and sufficiently appointed studio. The only issue we had was that wifi dropped occasionally. We spent a wonderful three weeks in this charming, convenient apartment on the Ile St. Louis. It felt so much like home that we hated to leave. Our cordial email communications with Parisaddress gave us a sense that we'd be well-cared for upon our arrival. But the gracious welcome and responsive service we received far exceeded our high expectations. We will certainly rent from Parisaddress again and again. Ormai per me passare a Parigi un paio di settimane all'anno è diventata una piacevole abitudine. Questa volta mi ha accompagnata un'amica che non ci veniva da molti anni. L'appartamento è piaciuto moltissimo a tutte e due. E' centrale ma allo stesso tempo tranquillo, silenzioso e luminoso. Gli spazi sono organizzati molto bene ed è fornito di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno comodo e piacevole. E, come sempre, l'organizzazione e l'assistenza di Parisaddress sono state perfette. We have stayed in 5 Paris apartments over the past few years, and this is one of our favorites -- and it's also the best located. (See our Paris & France site, http://parisandbeyondinfrance.blogspot.com/2007/08/selected-paris-accommodations.html ) Minor notes: (1) When we arrived (in early June 2009) the closet door was broken and unusable; we called the ParisAddress office and they sent a handyman to fix it immediately, pas de problem. (2) There was no cork screw in the kitchen, and the walls were a bit bare (it seems that some pictures had been taken down), but still it was a lovely apartment. (3) The washer/dryer combo worked well -- once we figured out how to operate it. (4) For "lunch in," make sure you try the atmospheric and tiny butcher shop around the corner (Jean Paul Gardil, 44 rue St. Louis en l'Ile) for some great ready-made items -- a slice of the burgundy terrine, etc. (5) The Eric Kayser boulangerie over on rue Monge in the 5eme is worth the short walk for the best baguette. -- Jake Dear (http://parisandbeyondinfrance.blogspot.com)Read this comment on Typepad

We had a lovely time in this clean, calm and nice apartment. Everything in the apartment was exactly as on the pictures to description. I was looking for apartments on Saint Louis island only and glad that I've chosen this one. The only thing which I would like to mention separately is steep and narrow stairs. It will be a severe test for senior people. The rest was great. Many thanks to the agency for perfect organization of our trip.
