Location
The Tiquetonne street is a small street in the Chatelet-Les Halles and Montorgeuil pedestrian zone. House number 12, where this Paris rental apartment is located, is less than 200 metres from the busy Montorgeuil street. The area has become one of the most exclusive and expensive areas of Paris, populated mainly by young professionals from the service and finance sectors. Residents include many people who have been disappointed by the Left Bank area and have moved over to the other side of the Seine. It is a very lively neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants. The nearest subway station to this Paris rental apartment is Etienne Marcel and the Les Halles and Rambuteau stations are only a short walk away.
Standing
A good quality building that is about 200 years old. The Paris apartment is on the first floor and has an elevator. The living room looks out on to the street (pedestrian zone - no traffic). There are a number of restaurants along the street which can be busy on summer weekends. The bedroom opens on to a small private courtyard/terrace which is very quiet. The sun does not shine into the courtyard but you can eat on the terrace when it is not cold. All the windows of the Paris apartment are double-gazed.
Layout
A very nice apartment to rent in Paris of 36 m2. It has a bedroom and large living room separated by sliding doors. The apartment was recently completely renovated very tastefully. It combines modernity with a fully equipped kitchen, oak floors and the original beamed ceilings. This Paris flat is a prime choice for a 'pied a terre' or home base in Paris. The bedroom has a large double bed (with two independent mattresses for comfort). You will enjoy the exceptional quietness of this room as it has double-gazed windows and overlooks the terrace. From the bedroom you have access to the small private terrace. The terrace does not however offer any views as it is surrounded by other buildings, but you will love the calmness of this private outdoor area. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. The kitchen is separate and fully furnished. To conclude, this Paris apartment is, in our opinion, a great place to rent to discover Paris and spend a pleasant week in the city.

12 rue Tiquetonne is a great apartment. Very well situated in Paris. Clean, well equipped. However, I would recommend this apartment only to people who are used to city noise! The street is VERY active ALL night long with young people shouting and carrying-on. If this doesn't bother you, go for it!Read this comment on Typepad

We very much enjoyed our stay in the apartment, and liked the location. Sometimes it was a little noisy, but it is after all the centre of Paris so we got used to that. Lots of nice restaurants nearby and easy access to the metro. Ideal for two, a bit short of space for three if staying longer than a few days.Read this comment on Typepad

Tiquetonne 12 was a great little apartment for my mom and I when we stayed in Paris. It's very quiet during the week and is extremely lively on Friday and Saturday nights. Despite the noise on the 2 of nights we were there, the location was perfect and the quality of service provided by Parisaddress exceeded all my expectations. We had a slight plumbing issue over the weekend and after the Office's usual business hours. When the Office re-opened, Parisaddress staff returned our call immediately and after discussing the urgency of the situation, they sent over a handyman to do the initial assessment. He was unable to fix the problem and he didn't speak English and we didn't speak French, so the Office staff became the intermediary. Parisaddress then sent over a wonderful plumber named Cremo. He spoke perfect English, was a diligent worker, and when he left, he gave us his direct phone number to call if there were any more problems ~ we did not need to call him, but the level of service was absolutely outstanding. My impressions about Parisaddress ... they are all about service; the apartments are fairly priced, deposits are reasonable, they allow credit card guarrantees, and above everything they are committed to service excellence.
