Location

One of the Paris apartments to rent in the 9th arrondissement, close to the bottom of the Rue Maubeuge. You are ten minutes walk from the Opera area in a very lively neighborhood and 5 minutes from the major shopping mall Gallerie Lafayette "and "Printemps". The closest subways to the Paris rental flat are Notre -Dame-de-Lorette, Cadet and Le Peletier.

Standing

Very nice typical Parisian building. The Paris apartment is located on the 2nd floor without an elevator. The building is secured by two digicodes.

Layout

One of the superb Paris apartments to rent that is 90 m2 and typically Parisian. It has a large living room that is very pleasant, well furnished and has a beautiful library full of books (in French for the most part!). A sofa bed for one person in the room will allow an additional person to sleep here. The master bedroom has a double bed and plenty of storage. The second is also quite large and has two single beds which can be pushed together to form a double bed. The bathroom is small but has a large shower. It is accessible independently from both bedrooms and the lounge. The kitchen is separate and fully equipped. In conclusion, it is a beautiful apartment to rent in Paris that is in a nice neighbourhood that is not too full of tourists and it is available to rent at quite a fair price. An opportunity not to be missed!

Cosy, spacious and comfortable apartment, lots of interesting books in English, French, Spanish, Italian. Good beds, great shower. It is fun to puzzle out who is the owner of all those books (and off the apartment - we assume). Just two remarks: - we stayed here with three well educated kids (9-11-15 years old). Nevertheless, the old woman living downstairs complained about 'the noise'. We don't understand her complain, the kids behaved very well, but maybe it's better to avoid this apartment travelling with kids. (Allthough... maybe she complains about everybody; she might not be used to people above her head...) - the kitchen needs renovation. The oven is unreliable, one of the wall sockets is loose, inside the cabinets everything is very greasy. On the other hand: the kitchen is quiet large to Parisian standards. And the gas cooker is excellent. Allthough one of oud kids has been very sick for three days, we had a great christmas week at this apartment. A huge supermarket next door, a tiny, but excellent boulangerie on the other side of de crossing, a fine Japanese restaurant next door. Interesting neighbourhood: a 10 minutes walk to the Sacre Coeur or in the other direction to the Grands Boulevards, an area wit a pleasant mixture of 'common' and more chique inhabitants. Be sure not to miss rue des Martys (nice little shops and restaurants). Allthough we speak quiet some French, Lucia did the intake in excellent English. It was no problem that we arrived earlier than expected (the snow caused less problems than we had forseen). This was the seventh time we rented from Paris Address and there will definitely be an next time.

We stayed in this apartment with four kids ages 7, 10, 12 & 13. (We brought an inflatable mattress for the 6th bed). If you have very small children, the living room sofa bed can accommodate two, if needed. We chose ParisAddress because we felt more comfortable dealing with people who manage their apartments and use credit cards (as opposed to pre-payment in full to brokers and then dealing with independent landlords). The apartment was a great location for us. A few short blocks to the Cadet Metro stop. From there we went to all the corners of the city with ease. For Paris, the apartment was great. The kitchen was adequate, but there is a washer and no dryer. We used it very infrequently. We did not use the cooking facilities. Just the glasses and utensils. The shower was large and strong. The separate toilet is cramped, but does its job. The large assortment of multi-language books were fun to peruse. The collection is probably from the 50's through 70's. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. There is no AC but in August, the rooms were very cool at night and we ended up closing the windows and shutting the fans. Most days we were gone from morning till late at night touring. The one day that we were in early, the women below complained that she could not work with the noise of our children running around. They calmed down a bit and we did not hear from her again. We blew a fuse once trying to use an American wall timer and the neighbors graciously helped us find the correct breaker. The only real complaint was that the dining room table had a broken leg that someone had poorly tried to repair. The table fell over once during dinner. We have alerted ParisAddress. So we hope this has been repaired properly now.

We stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year with our 2 adult children. The neighbourhood and location are great - charcuterie, fromagerie, boulangerie, a good Carrefour, 2 green grocers, two specialist wine merchants, excellent laundrette (closes on the dot of 10pm so don't be tardy...!), several mid priced restaurants, an interesting wine bar, close to Cadet metro and Gare du Nord, walking distance to Galaries Lafayette and Opera on the one hand and Barbes and Tati on the other.... All in all an excellent location. The apartment itself was as shown on the website - no surprises except perhaps the size of the bathroom which is small. An excellent library, masses of wonderful crockery, and good sized rooms. We never used the dishwasher and the laundrette was more suited to our needs (having a dryer...) We did cook at home on a few nights -not easy as the oven was inadequate and the space is badly designed. For a 3 week stay, the supply of linen and towels was inadequate - and a strange assortment - could easily be improved. Also my husband felt the seatng in the sitting room could be better. Unlike other blog comments, we had no problems with the neighbours; Eric from ParisAddress was excellent on arrival; they allowed us a late check-out. Overall we had a wonderful stay in Paris and have no hesitation in recommending them and Roche 41 to others. Peter and Lucille

We stayed in the appartment for one week. The appartment looks as shown on the web site. It is aging, but still graceful. We were two adult couples and the appartment was selected since it has two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two joined single beds. Rooms are large with ample storage space. Living room is large and the convertible IKEA sofa, can optionally sleep a couple of kids, though without privacy. We enjoyed the library which was mentioned by previous commenters. Internet access is a plus, especially if you want to plan your stay, order tickets, search for restaurants, etc.. TV has only a few french channels, but this was a blessing since we kept it off for a week. The bathroom is a little small but renovated. The separate toilet is small with a tiny sink. A few more towels in the appartment would have been helpful. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Plenty of shops in the neigborhood, so cooking is easy. We used the dishwasher daily. The location is good and the local cafe "Odette & Aime" is lively and busy. We had no issue with the neigbors. We would certainly recommend this apartment to our friends and family. Contact with parisaddress was good and our unscheduled late check out, due to delayed flight, was not an issue.

my 2 daughters and I stayed in the apartment for 5 nights and found it to be as depicted in the photos and summary. It is cloe to 2 metro stations on different lines, a supermarket is only 3 doors away and other shops in the same street. Easy to get anywhere from the location. The buildign is older but the feeling in the apartment is quaint and all equipment in good working order. A Paris Address representative met us at the apartment and showed us everything and they were very good to deal with and would have no hesitation in booking and staying with them again.

We stayed for 1 week in february with our 2 sons. The apartment was like as shown on the web page. The library is the "touch" of this house. The size of the rooms was optimal. We used the kitchen all the week without problems, well equipped. The neigborhood is plenty of shops, a very complette Carrefour, fromagerie, green grocers, etc, for this reasons cooking is easy. Eric the agent from ParisAddress was kind and efficient on arrival. We recommending this appartment Roche 41 and Paris Address.Si volvemos a Paris alli estaremos de nuevo. Julia y Juan
