We stayed in a lovely apartment at 11-13 rue Des Filles du Calvaire. The building was at the edge of the 3rd and 4th arrondissement. The apartment was perfect! There was a large living room with an adjoining dinning area. One very nice modern bath and one large bedroom with a queen and a second smaller bedroom with a double. The apartment was furnished with beautiful antiques. We were on the 5th floor,and there was a small elevator The view was in to a court yard. This was ok because we were high up and there was lots of light. The area was a surprise. It was a neighborhood. With in a very short walk was every kind of store you could want. And of course, the neighborhood pub. It was the center of life in the area. With seating inside and out.It was about a delightful twenty minute walk to the river which we did several times a day.We completely enjoyed ourselvesRead this comment on Typepad

We stayed at 11-13 Rue des Filles du Calvaire and found it mostly pleasing. The only caveat is that the second bedroom provides a pull out sofa and not a real bed like the other bedroom. This fact was a bit disapointing as I was told it was a regular bedroom when I made the reservation. Our friends indicated that the pull out "bed" was not comfortable at all. The other smaller problem was the shower head in the bathroom. It was broken and did not provide a normal stream of water(mostly sputtered). The court yard was also very noisy in the morning. Beyond that, the stay was enjoyable and we found the apartment to be full of charm. We all enjoyed the neighborhood very much and it was convenient to everything.Read this comment on Typepad

We found the apartment comfortable and charming. We loved the Marais and were very happy with our choice. There were some problems but they were taken care of promptly. One that could have been dire is that the entry door code had been changed but Jordan addressed that immediately when he was here. I have to say my daughter did complain about the bed in the small bedroom, too. But the location, library and cd collection made us feel, if only for 2 weeks, that we were really living in Paris.Read this comment on Typepad
