Being so close to the canal Saint Martin will really enable you to feel like a true Parisian. As soon as the sun shows up, families, friends and lovers take over the place! This area is also full of convenience shops, a supermarket, bakeries and much more. If you walk 15 min you will reach Le Marais area, La Bastille and Les Halles. The closest metro stops to the Paris rental apartment are Jacques Bonsergent, République and Gare de l'Est.

Standing

One of the few Paris apartment rentals that is more like a house, as it has 2 levels and a private entrance from the street. This street is really calm and on the other side of the building the windows of the upper level, as well as the ground level, look on a private garden / courtyard.

Layout

This 105sqm apartment has 2 levels and a 24sqm private garden. The entrance hall leads to a large living area on the right and the stairs on the left. These stairs lead to the upper level where you will find two independant bedrooms. The biggest has its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. It has two single beds (90x200) that can form a king size double bed (180x200). You will be able to work, wether you are alone or not, as there are 2 desks in this room. You will be able to store all your clothes in the large wardrobes in the corridor. The second bedroom has a double bed (140x190). It is a bit smaller but nice and quiet as well. It has also plenty of room to store clothes. The windows look on the courtyard and the private garden. The pictures of the garden and the courtyard from above have been taken from this bedroom and from the 2nd bathroom. This bathroom is next to the 2nd bedroom. It has a bathtub, a toilet and the washing machine is located here. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen and the very spacious living-room. The kitchen is entirely equipped. You can reach the garden from it as there is a large glass-door. The living-room is divided in two areas : the living area with two couches (one of them is a brand new sofabed that can sleep 2 people (140x200)) and  coffee tables, and the dining-area with a wooden table that can accomodate up to 6 people. This main room has also several glass-doors so you can access the garden, have a glass of wine outside and still be in a private area. A bench will welcome you, whether you are looking for a quiet place to read or to watch the stars at night. Note that there is another toilet accessible from the living-room. This house / apartment in Paris is perfect for renting for 6 people. It is bright, calm, well organised and at a very fair price for everything it provides.

We loved staying in this lovely large apartment. It was extremely well-equipped and comfortable. The little patio garden was also nice for the hot weather. The location is close to Gare de l'Est and Place de la République, with many convenient features nearby (at least 4 Franprix shops within 5 minutes walk, and a Vélib stand just 20 metres away). The canal area has many boutiques and cafés. There is a well-liked paella restaurant next door – the noise can continue quite late in the evening.

Four of us shared the apartment for a week in October. We found it to be roomy and conveniently located. The kitchen was well-equipped, although there was no coffee maker (drip or automatic) on site. Some device needs to be provided for morning coffee. The upstairs bath is quite large, but there is no shower curtain. We discovered the Bollywood Indian restaurant nearby and it is excellent!

We really liked this apartment! You don't have to walk upstairs. It's good when you are tired walking aroun the city.Big, comfortable, kitchen well equipped though no coffee maker ;-((.We liked etnic , colorfull rugs and things.Comfortable beds. It was too cold outside to sit on the patio, unfortunately. But inside it's very warm when u want it warm. Cosy with carractere. We recomend this place. We felt almost like home!

Dear guests, I am discovering Paris Address blog and your comments. Got the message for the coffee maker (I missed the point since we are heavy tea drinkers) and the bath curtain (I missed that point as well since we shower... in the shower). I will do some shopping next time I am in Paris (Q1 2011). Kindest regards from Languedoc (down South in France).

Five of us stayed for a week at the beginning of April. It's a really spacious apartment with lots of interesting pictures and books (a Russian connection?). Everything was comfortable and it's in a really fascinating area. We tried Chez Maurice up the road - very nice and we soon got to grips with the metro and buses. Would certainly recommend Paris Address!

We are a family of 6 adults and we stayed in Passage Dubail for a week in May. It is a wonderful, spacious apartment full of character and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Positives: large space, comfortably for 6 persons, convenient to the metro, close to supermarkets The main negative point was that the boiler does not hold enough water for 6 persons to have hot showers, and after a day traipsing through Paris, we all needed a shower! Nevertheless, a beautiful apartment and we would be happy to recommend it.

Enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Arrival and departure was very straight forward. Great weather so enjoyed the outside courtyard. there were 3 adults in our party so we used the fold out bed.Maybe consider twin beds in one of the bed rooms. Great area, close to train stations, shops, markets and resturuants. Not that it matter to me but there was no TV as listed .

Dear Robyn, Apologies for the missing TV: it was stolen before your stay, and not yet replaced when you arrived. I stayed two days in my flat right after you: a TV was there. With regards to twin beds: the large double bed in the largest bedroom consists of two twin beds that can be accomodated as such. Do not hesitate to ask for specific bedding arrangements when booking the place. Dear Joanna, Apologies for cold showers after a long day in Paris. There is a way of getting extra hot water in an hour if needed. I will inform ParisAddress and add a note in the "vade mecum" left in the flat next time I come to Paris. Kindest regards from Languedoc.

We would thoroughly recommend this conveniently located and well equipped apartment. The proximity to the local Franprix and the excellent boulangerie was an added benefit, the latter being an attraction to our 11 year old grand-daughter who enjoyed the morning croissants and evening baguettes. Take the time to explore the nearby Canal St Martin and restaurants. We enjoyed the Italian food at the Epicerie. We would certainly stay here again. We have stayed in Paris apartments before but found the organisation of the ParisAddress people to be the best we have encountered.

We stayed in this apartment in the beginning of July. There were 6 adults and more than enough room for all of us. We loved how the apartment had 2 toilets (took a long time to find an apartment in Paris that did). The apartment came with everything we would need to have a lovely stay. The apartment is really close to the train station as well as a subway station. There are small grocery stores as well as one large one within 5 minutes. There is also a great gyro place one block over. The only downside to this apartment is the area that surrounds it. At night the area can be a bit shady. There are multiple ways to get to the apartment, but at night we were told to only walk down one way or risk getting mugged. We were also told that if we open the downstairs windows, we still need to keep them locked, even when we were at the apartment. The alleys around the apartment also had a strong smell of urine. It was a very nice stay, but we would probably find a different location the next time we are in Paris.

We stayed on the apartment for a week (27/10 to 2/11) We weretwo couples and to children (8 and 1 years) We loved the apartment. Very good areas. The only thing was he furniturethat could be better and the cable tv never worked. Parking the car we rent near the apartment was another problem and we had to leave the car in the "Gare d' Est" Park and cost minimun 27 € per night!! And that is a big cost to had to the appartment. So keep that in mind. Anyway I would consider the apartment next time I go to Paris because it´s near to every turistic areas and also the metro station if you decide to use it. By the time of the year the area was very peaceful, no noise or traffic.

Dear Rui, with regards to the cable TV not working, I am sorry that you missed movies and programmes. Next time please report the problem to the staff of Paris Address: they are very helpful and can have things fixed very quickly. As for the furniture, I am trying my very best to keep them neat and tidy (for e.g. an armchair will be repaired in the coming weeks). Please come again! Kind regards from Languedoc.
